Senior Manager, FP&A (Sales Finance)

This role partners with Sales Leadership, Finance, Revenue Operations, HR, and Accounting to improve commission operations, forecasting accuracy, financial planning infrastructure, and executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly commission payment calculation, validation, and analysis.
  • Ensure compensation data and commission plan accuracy and integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve compensation discrepancies.
  • Support sales teams with compensation questions.
  • Improve commission plans, processes, and plan design.
  • Lead commission modeling, compensation analytics, and sales commission calculations in Anaplan.
  • Own and maintain the Anaplan Commissions module.
  • Optimize FP&A systems and planning tools, primarily Anaplan.
  • Partner with Sales and GTM leadership on financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Manage bookings forecasting, pipeline analysis, headcount planning, and productivity reporting.
  • Improve commercial forecasting processes and predictability.
  • Build financial models for annual planning, long-range planning, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze sales performance data for trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate globally across Sales, Finance, Operations, Revenue Operations, Accounting, and HR.
  • Improve processes, automate workflows, and increase FP&A efficiency.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience in FP&A, Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, or related finance functions.
  • Experience supporting Sales or Go-to-Market organizations in SaaS or high-growth technology.
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and commission finance background.
  • Hands-on Anaplan experience building or managing commission and forecasting models.
  • Experience with sales compensation planning, commission calculations, and payment validation.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and key performance metrics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across global teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Startup or fast-scaling company experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
