Senior Marketing Manager

Role Summary

GIS Benefits is entering a defined period of brand and go-to-market transformation. Over the next twelve months the company will launch a new brand identity and guidelines, bring its new company positioning to market, rebuild its website with a closed-loop broker and client portal, and refresh its full library of sales and marketing assets — rolling all of it out internally first, then to brokers, employers, and carriers.

The Senior Marketing Manager is the person who makes that happen day to day. This is a hands-on ownership role. You will hold the marketing budget, direct a small bench of external freelancers and an agency partner, and act as the single point of accountability for marketing execution across the company. You will not have direct reports. You will need to influence, coordinate, and deliver without them.

Strategy is set in partnership with GIS leadership and outside advisors. Your job is to turn that strategy into a working brand, a working website, and a working communications engine — and then hold all three to a standard.

What This Role Owns

Brand system. Take the new brand book, visual identity, and guidelines from working draft to operational reality. Be the person who knows the rules, applies them consistently, and holds outside partners to them.

The GIS story. Own the introductory positioning presentation and the family of materials that follow it — the narrative, the FAQs, the supporting proof points, and the versions each audience needs.

Website. Serve as GIS's day-to-day owner of the website rebuild: brief the agency, manage the timeline, own copy integration, and stand up and maintain the gated broker and client portal so proprietary materials are no longer publicly downloadable.

Sales and enablement assets. Rebuild the brochure and flyer library — deciding what stays, what goes, what gets rewritten — and keep it current once it's live.

Rollout and education. Sequence and deliver onboarding and education, internally first, then to brokers, employers, and carriers.

External communications. Build and run the communications, content, PR/media, and social calendar once the brand is public-ready.

Budget and plan. Own the marketing budget and build a rolling twelve-month marketing plan tied to business objectives.
