Senior Mobile Engineer
You will develop and improve a React Native mobile application for iOS and Android. You will own feature delivery from technical design through implementation and release, collaborate with product, design, and backend partners, modernize the codebase, and maintain high standards for performance, reliability, security, testing, documentation, and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and evolve the React Native mobile application across iOS and Android
- Own core React Native feature delivery from technical design through implementation and release
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into scalable app experiences
- Maintain, refine, and modernize the React Native codebase
- Uphold code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and engineering collaboration
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and security standards are met
- Improve engineering practices and mobile development processes
- Apply emerging mobile and React Native best practices where beneficial
Requirements
- Deep expertise in React Native with 6+ years of experience and multiple production deployments
- Experience maintaining and scaling existing React Native applications
- Ability to work in Swift and/or Kotlin to extend React Native functionality
- Experience leading technical initiatives and owning projects
- Knowledge of mobile engineering best practices, including performance optimization, security, testing, and release management
- Experience creating and implementing Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines for mobile releases
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to articulate technical tradeoffs and decisions
