FinXL is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering consulting practice. In this engagement , you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with an Enterprise Banking organisation on a high-profile transformation project.
Responsibility
Execute critical network upgrade and patching activities, including non-standard schedules.
Provision, maintain, secure, and perform capacity planning for network infrastructure.
Participate in second-line IT incident and security response for the network environment.
Apply DevOps principles and drive automation using Infrastructure as Code via Terraform.
Analyse network traffic data to recommend performance and security improvements.
Undertake acceptance testing and commissioning of communications equipment.
Improve, harden, test, and tune hardware and software for optimal performance.
Key Skills & Experience
Extensive experience with Cisco networking infrastructure across LAN and WAN environments.
Strong knowledge of ACI Infrastructure and Cisco or Palo Alto firewalls.
Proficiency with Python and relevant scripting languages to automate operational activities.
Experience using key management tools such as Firepower Management Centre.
Willingness to support non-standard hours (e.g., Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday).
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and service management practices.
Degree in IT or industry accreditations in Cisco and ITIL are highly preferred.
