Senior Operations Manager

This critical leadership role shapes the operational framework for Pearl Abyss titles in Europe, including Black Desert, Crimson Desert, DokeV, and PLAN 8. The position coordinates global teams across Live-Ops, Community, Localization, Marketing, Product Management, and Public Relations while driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Live Operations managers, coordinators, and specialists.
• Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
• Lead and optimize communication pipelines between global teams across time zones and channels.
• Act as the primary operational bridge between Europe and global headquarters.
• Author, develop, and execute comprehensive live service operational plans.
• Monitor, mitigate, and report on critical live service issues.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze macro-level KPIs to identify systemic improvements.
• Implement long-term solutions to systemic operational issues.
• Manage high-impact operational projects from inception through execution and post-mortem analysis.
• Serve as the escalation point for critical live-service incidents and lead resolution strategies and post-incident reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in live game operations, product management, or production in a senior or lead capacity.
• Professional-level English fluency with exceptional corporate communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and maintain global stakeholder relationships.
• Deep technical knowledge of online game live services, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
• Advanced time-management, risk-assessment, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during critical launches or live incidents.
• Willingness to travel internationally for global alignment.
• Professional-level Korean fluency preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Black Desert Online and its community ecosystem preferred.
• Passion for video games and current industry trends preferred.
• Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Confluence preferred.
• Experience managing gaming communities and player-facing initiatives preferred.
