Senior Principal Network Engineer
Design, deploy, and optimize high-performance AI data center networks for high-bandwidth, low-latency, lossless communication. The role covers network fabrics, Ethernet congestion control, NetDevOps automation, telemetry pipelines, data center network operations, technical mentorship, and networking strategy.
Responsibilities
- Define ultra-high-bandwidth non-blocking AI network fabrics
- Optimize lossless Ethernet fabrics using PFC, ECN, and DCQCN
- Implement NetDevOps practices and network automation
- Develop automation for provisioning, configuration management, and remediation
- Design and deploy network telemetry pipelines
- Deploy and monitor data center network fabrics
- Collaborate with hardware, AI research, and operations teams
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Establish networking best practices and operational standards
- Evaluate high-speed networking technologies and vendor solutions
Requirements
- BS or MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
- 12+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including at least 3 years in hyperscale, high-density, or HPC data center environments
- Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and EVPN-VXLAN
- Operational understanding of RoCEv2 or InfiniBand
- Experience with Arista EOS, Cisco NX-OS, or SONiC
- Experience with 400G and 800G optics and large-scale fabric architectures
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or similar tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
