Senior Product Data Analyst
Act as the analytical engine for product by defining metrics, building dashboards, designing and analyzing experiments, delivering recommendations, investigating partner usage and economics, owning the product metrics framework, building self-serve analytics tooling, and partnering with data engineering on data models.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product leadership to define metrics and build dashboards
- Design and analyze experiments end to end
- Run deep-dive analyses on partner usage, activation, retention, and economics
- Own the product metrics framework and measurement standards
- Build self-serve analytics dashboards and tooling
- Collaborate with data engineering on data modeling and instrumentation
- Proactively surface insights and recommendations
Requirements
- 5–8 years of analytics experience partnering with product teams
- Expert SQL
- Working fluency with Python or R
- Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Experience with BI and visualization tools, with Lightdash preferred
- Proven ability to design and run experiments and measure adoption
- Ability to read product code and understand event schemas and instrumentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Senior autonomous operator able to scope analyses and own recommendations
