Job Description
The team is seeking a Senior validation engineer who has experience in validating PCIe, BMC and Linux kernel technologies to join our fast-growing software organization. The position is responsible for validating Secure BMC System products.
Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and a test strategy for the Secure BMC System product.
• Execute and automate test cases, analyze test results, and report issues.
• Identify and define system test requirements.
• Design test architecture and develop detailed test cases.
• Configure and troubleshoot infrastructure devices.
• Have good knowledge to validate BMC software solutions for our products. Like sensor monitor, event log, Redfish, Web UI, IPMI etc.
• To Automate new test cases using Python with Pytest / Robot Framework
Qualifications
• 6 – 10 years of overall software testing experience with 5+ years in BMC Validation and Embedded system validation for Linux or any RTOS.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• BMC product/stack software validation experience is a must
• Good understanding of server power management via BMC
• Strong Hardware debugging skills
• Solid Knowledge of low-level protocol, including I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, GPIO.
• Good understanding of BMC IPMI2.0 including IPMI Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, event log, PEF, ME, NM
• Familiarity with protocols like MCTP and PLDM
• Experience in testing BMC with multiple HW.
• Strong experience in validating Server Management stack, Web UI, Redfish, Rest API, IPMI, Fan, Thermal Sensors, Open BMC
• Good to have experience in Networking, PCIe, Firmware and SOC
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience working with SCM tools like Git/ SVN
• Automation testing experience using python and Pytest / Robot framework
• Experience with troubleshooting integration issues including root-cause analysis
• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC), software testing methodologies, and agile development practices.
