As a Senior Security Officer/Officer, you will support the hotel management in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests, employees, and hotel property. You are expected to carry out security operations professionally, responsibly, and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
Day-to-Day responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining adequate and effective security measures throughout the hotel.
- Ensure the safety and protection of hotel guests at all times.
- Safeguard hotel premises and guest property against loss, damage, theft, and other untoward incidents.
- Handle incidents and security matters in a professional, calm, and timely manner. Participate actively in daily security operations to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel assets.
- Provide assistance to guests and employees in a courteous, friendly, and tactful manner.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations related to safety and security.
- Respond promptly to incidents involving hotel guests, employees, or property.
- Monitor and observe suspicious individuals, activities, or situations to maintain peace and order within the hotel premises and take appropriate action when required.
- Assist in conducting investigations and prepare incident reports as necessary.
- Perform regular patrols within and around the hotel compound.
- Carry out access control duties, including monitoring entry points and operating CCTV surveillance systems.
- Assist with crowd control and traffic management during peak periods or special events.
- Respond to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, and evacuation procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Hotel Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Security license issued by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar security role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of fire safety and first aid will be an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as CERT and Occupational First Aid with AED (OFA+AED) will be an added advantage.
- Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
