Senior Software Engineer, Backend - World ID
Own and operate backend software components by designing, implementing, debugging, testing, instrumenting, and scaling services and APIs. Build SDKs and cloud integrations, develop privacy-preserving attestation and verification mechanisms, improve security, reliability, and performance, and enable third-party developer integrations.

- Own key backend software components and services
- Design and implement scalable secure systems and APIs
- Build and maintain SDKs and cloud integrations
- Develop privacy-preserving attestation and verification mechanisms
- Improve security privacy compliance reliability and performance
- Debug monitor and instrument systems to ensure reliability
- Collaborate with product managers designers and engineers to deliver features
- Support open decentralized integrations for third-party developers
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing backend software
- Strong system design skills with focus on scalability reliability and maintainability
- Experience building SDKs and cloud integrations
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving techniques and security best practices
- Strong collaboration communication and prioritization skills
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and changing environments
