Senior Software Engineer (Java) - Bank Payments

Lead complex Java-based web service projects from design through production launch, build performant database models, improve scalable distributed platforms, contribute hands-on to implementation, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-volume bank payment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Bring your own point of view on engineering best practices.
• Collaborate across teams and time zones to complete projects.
• Lead technical projects from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, and production launch.
• Contribute hands-on to implementation while providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Improve platform robustness and scalability.
• Deliver production features at scale.
• Launch live functionality quickly and iterate often.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional engineering experience.
• Senior Software Engineer or similar-level experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Java-based web services using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Performant database modeling with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Event-driven architecture or message queueing systems.
• United States work authorization without the need for new visa sponsorship.
• Openness to some domestic and international travel.
