Senior Software Engineer CVI

Lead end-to-end delivery of features for Tavus's real-time Conversational Video Interface, translating loosely defined priorities into specifications, architecture, and production software. Integrate real-time research models, improve unreliable or slow systems, optimize conversational latency, and teach complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end features from loosely defined product priorities.
• Develop specifications and architecture for conversational video capabilities.
• Partner with research to integrate real-time models.
• Investigate and fix flaky processes and slow paths.
• Optimize latency across conversational turns.

Requirements

• Fluent in Python with deep experience in concurrent programs.
• Understand asyncio, multiprocessing, event loops, the GIL, and shared memory.
• Have built real-time video, audio, or model-inference systems.
• Demonstrate a senior track record of setting direction, owning decisions, and delivering projects.
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly and teach others.
