Senior Software Engineer - Data
Design, build, and maintain large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines supporting blockchain analytics products. Work hands-on with Scala, functional programming, Spark, Databricks, AWS, Airflow, Kubernetes, and Terraform while contributing to architecture, technical decisions, reliability, and engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Write, ship, and maintain production code.
- Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
- Contribute to technical decisions across batch and streaming data solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts.
- Explore and integrate technologies to optimize performance and scalability.
- Own data systems from design through deployment and ongoing support.
- Perform peer reviews and share engineering best practices.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Shape the technical roadmap for data engineering.
- Leverage and deploy AI and agentic systems.
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience with Scala and functional programming.
- Ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with Spark or Databricks.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to balance scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Experience with data modelling and workflow orchestration.
