Senior Software Engineer, DevX

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Stellar's JavaScript SDK. Design APIs, maintain TypeScript and JavaScript client libraries, improve bundling and build pipelines, collaborate with Product and Developer Relations, mentor engineers, engage the developer community, and apply backend, cryptography, and blockchain knowledge to simplify complex functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the Stellar JavaScript SDK
• Design APIs and client libraries
• Collaborate with Product and Developer Relations to improve developer experience
• Improve developer tools and build pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
• Engage with the developer community and implement feedback
• Ensure SDK quality, documentation, and usability

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with JavaScript and API design
• Experience with SDK development, bundlers, and Babel
• Experience building and maintaining client applications or libraries
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices
• Experience with at least one other server-side language
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptography concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to simplify complex systems for developer consumption
