Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Product

Build and evolve Slash Financial's core banking product, creating fault-tolerant, user-facing financial primitives that support more than $10 billion in annual transaction volume.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship entire product surfaces end-to-end, from database schema and API design to customer-facing product development.
• Build and scale financial infrastructure for payments, transfers, invoicing, bill pay, onboarding, and card management.
• Design data models, write migrations, and build backend services for complex financial operations.
• Work with product, design, and compliance to ship correct, compliant, usable features.
• Shape engineering standards, contribute to architecture decisions, and talk to customers to identify product opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience shipping and owning complete product surfaces from data model through deployment.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills, including API design, database migrations, and frontend development.
• Strong product instincts and holistic thinking about UX, API ergonomics, and system correctness.
• Ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team.
• Commitment to clean, well-tested code and careful handling of edge cases.
• Financial systems intuition or a genuine desire to develop expertise in payments, ledgers, or compliance is a bonus.
