Senior Web Engineer Perps

Own and ship complex frontend trading features for a perpetual futures product, including order entry, order books, position management, trade history, funding rates, and liquidation displays. Design responsive interfaces for live market data and streaming order books, collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and real-time data flows, improve frontend observability and reliability, monitor production issues, respond to incidents, and contribute to frontend architecture and pragmatic refactoring.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship complex trading UI features end-to-end.
• Design APIs and real-time data flows with backend engineers.
• Partner with QA, TPM, product, and design on requirements, launches, and quality.
• Monitor dashboards, alerts, and user reports and respond to issues.
• Collaborate during incidents to isolate root causes and implement fixes.
• Design responsive UI for live market data and streaming order books.
• Build and improve frontend logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting.
• Identify technical debt and contribute to frontend architecture and refactoring.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of frontend web engineering experience.
• Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Experience building trading, exchange, or financial product UIs.
• Frontend system design experience across state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience with WebSockets, streaming APIs, or live market feeds.
• Strong debugging skills and production incident experience.
• Ability to collaborate on APIs, data contracts, failure modes, and system behavior.
• High agency and ability to drive work to completion.
• Clear communication during planning, launches, bugs, and incidents.
• Perpetuals exchange or derivatives UI experience is a plus.
• Frontend performance specialization is a plus.
• Crypto, Web3, or adjacent financial infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Frontend observability, alerting, or reliability experience is a plus.
• Practical use of AI tools is a plus.
