SEO Specialist

We're a Dubai company that's been in the printer supplies business since 1999. We sell toner, ink, other consumables, and office equipment across the UAE, both to businesses through Sham-tech.com and to consumers through our online store Dotinks.com. We started in Damascus and still run our operation there. Now we're building out our marketing, and we want an SEO specialist to join us remotely and work closely with our management in Dubai.

Your main job (most of your day): building pages and articles that rank on Google. We follow a method:

• Pick the keyword the page should target
• Research it properly in Ubersuggest, the main keyword plus the supporting ones around it
• Add our real product knowledge into the writing
• Publish it right: proper heading structure, alt text on images, internal and external links with anchor text you've actually thought about, and visuals or charts where they help

The rest of the role:

• Check Google Search Console regularly and make decisions from what it's telling you
• Local SEO: keep our Google Business Profile sharp, write SEO descriptions for our services and products, upload optimized images often, post our updates and offers, and collect real customer reviews
• Build good backlinks for both sites
• Keep up with how SEO is changing, follow the people worth following, and brief our Marketing Manager on anything useful
• Work with AI tools every day. We'll train you on how we use them.

Skills

What you need:

• At least 2 years actually doing SEO, with results you can show us (Search Console screenshots, for example)
• You've worked with WordPress and Shopify before. This one matters, since that's what our two sites run on.
• Strong English, reading and writing. Most of the content is in English.
• You know Ubersuggest or you can pick it up fast, since it's our main tool. Knowing Ahrefs or Semrush helps too.
• Real Local SEO and Google Business Profile experience
• A reliable internet connection and power backup at home, since the work is remote
