About the Job

As a Social Media Journalist at Berita Harian, you will be a versatile digital storyteller responsible for the end-to-end workflow of creating high-impact news and feature content across various social media formats. In this role, your primary focus is producing engaging stories - ranging from short-form vertical video and long-form video packages to image posts, carousels, vodcasts and other innovative digital formats. While you will primarily specialise in either core Berita Harian news or OMG youth-focused content, you will cross-support both areas. You are expected to understand platform mechanics and audience preferences, and to adapt editorial tone, visual design, and storytelling style depending on where the content lives. You will work within a collaborative newsroom environment, drawing on the collective strength and resources of the broader Berita Harian news team.
