Software Developer / Business Analyst - Manufacturing Systems, Equipment Integration
Summary
Hybrid software developer/business analyst gathering requirements and supporting manufacturing systems projects focused on equipment integration and automation. Works with MES, middleware (TIBCO RV/EMS, JMS), and C# across Linux and Windows environments.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements from users and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into practical system and solution designs.
- Support manufacturing system projects involving equipment integration and automation.
- Work closely with business users, developers, engineers, vendors, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, process discussions, and solution validation sessions.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and related project documentation.
- Support system integration, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and production support.
- Analyse system and integration issues and coordinate with technical teams on resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate manufacturing processes.
- Support integration between manufacturing equipment, MES, middleware, and enterprise applications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Equipment Integration or Manufacturing Automation is essential.
- Strong experience in user requirement gathering, business analysis, and solution design.
- Technical or software development background is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Programming experience, particularly in C#, will be an advantage.
Knowledge of manufacturing systems, particularly:
- Equipment Integration / Automation
- MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
- Experience with middleware technologies such as TIBCO RV, TIBCO EMS, JMS, or similar messaging technologies will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates with a developer or technical background who have transitioned into a Business Analyst or techno-functional role will be preferred. Experience working with manufacturing applications, equipment interfaces, automation, and system integration will be highly relevant.
