Software Engineer - Entry Level 2027
Develop low-latency proprietary trading systems across the software development lifecycle, design and debug trading applications, optimize efficient and readable code, implement automated testing, communicate project strategies, and complete training on trading fundamentals and proprietary systems.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the proprietary trading software platform.
- Deliver software solutions for business needs.
- Design, implement, and debug low-latency trading applications.
- Optimize efficient and extendable applications.
- Ensure software meets requirements and coding standards.
- Implement automated testing.
- Communicate with project managers and team leadership.
- Participate in trading systems training.
Requirements
- Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Object-oriented programming experience, preferably with C++, C#, or Java.
- Ability to optimize and design low-latency software.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to use AI tools while maintaining independent judgment and critical thinking.
- Ability to live in or relocate to Chicago.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
