Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure - AI Platform

You will tune the StarRocks serving layer, build and harden data pipelines, operate and troubleshoot government cloud infrastructure, and use AI-assisted tools to debug production issues, analyze logs, review code, and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer.
• Build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations.
• Operate and troubleshoot the serving layer independently.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems such as StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse, or similar.
• Experience with query tuning and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for debugging, code review, and documentation.
• Ability to independently operate and troubleshoot production infrastructure.
• Ability to take on-call responsibility with minimal oversight.
