Software Engineer
You will build and improve FT Base, a mission-critical application supporting data, project lifecycles, AI agents, and CRM functionality. You will develop stable features, refactor systems, review prototypes, and help create scalable, maintainable software using Python, Django, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Understand the context and business requirements of system functional areas
- Build new features
- Improve, refactor, clean up, and delete features
- Recommend project progression strategies
- Review applications prototyped outside the engineering department
- Steer, rebuild, or secure applications
- Write test coverage and documentation
Requirements
- Two years as a software engineer in a web application environment, or two years as a software engineer with reputable boot camp certification, or a four-year Computer Science degree with projects or work experience
- Knowledge of Python, TypeScript, APIs, Git, and web application system design concepts
- Strong AI prompt-driven development abilities
- Ability to explain and verify AI-produced code line by line
- Experience taking applications beyond the prototype stage
- AWS or cloud infrastructure experience is a plus
- Django or Django REST Framework experience is a plus
