Software Engineer - hConnect
Build the foundation of Hopae's hConnect platform, which protects and connects digital identities worldwide. You will develop high-availability backend systems, integrate with national electronic ID systems and external identity services, improve scalability and stability, and maintain APIs for internal and external integrations. The role also emphasizes code reviews, clean code, ownership, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain core backend systems and high-availability infrastructure for the hConnect platform
- Develop modules integrating with national electronic ID systems and external identity services
- Improve system stability, scalability, and performance for future traffic growth
- Design and maintain reliable APIs for internal services and external partners
- Collaborate through code reviews and promote clean, maintainable code
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, understand business goals, and drive improvements
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and undefined situations
- Deep technical curiosity and strong problem-solving ability
- Transparent communication and effective collaboration
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript skills with at least 2 years of backend development experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals and mastery of at least one technology
- Practical experience with OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and access token flows
- Experience building and scaling early-stage products
- Understanding of browser and mobile client compatibility
- Experience with test automation and code quality improvement
- Experience designing architectures for large-scale traffic
- API Gateway, PaaS, or SaaS development experience
- Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and AWS or GCP
