About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for\:

• Lead and manage all Software Engineers within the Munitions group in the Textron Systems Weapons division.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for Software Engineers, including\:
  • Managing full-time employees, co-ops, interns, and contractors.
  • Forecasting needs to meet program and organizational requirements.
• Drive Software Engineer development and engagement through\:
  • Performance management\: establishing objectives, conducting reviews, and providing feedback.
  • Facilitating regular communication\: hosting meetings, resolving issues, and mentoring team members.
  • Developing detailed skills planning and providing training opportunities to enhance capabilities.
• Oversee customer deliverables, including\:
  • Review and approval of software architecture and requirements development.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet internal quality expectations and customer requirements.
• Monitor and improve departmental performance via\:
  • Analysis of quality metrics related to process compliance and overall team performance.
  • Gathering and addressing feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
