Software Engineer (MNC Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain software for industrial machines and manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and enhance machine control software, HMI, and equipment interfaces.
• Program and integrate PLCs, motion control systems, sensors, and other automation components.
• Troubleshoot software and equipment issues to improve machine performance and reliability.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, testing, and debugging at customer or production sites.
• Integrate machine software with MES, databases, and factory automation systems where required.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, and Production teams to deliver machine solutions.
• Perform software testing, validation, and system integration before machine deployment.
• Prepare software specifications, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
• Support machine upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in machine software, equipment automation, or industrial control systems.
• Experience with C/C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, motion control, or machine automation is highly preferred.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and equipment integration is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working closely with hardware, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Willing to support machine testing, commissioning, and occasional travel when required.
