Software Engineer, PDEIO Laptops and Tablets

We are on the front lines of innovation, leveraging AI to architect stable and effective test solutions—including the critical infrastructure, labs, testing tools and frameworks necessary to ensure the successful launches.
Our comprehensive offerings span pre-submit and post-submit pipelines, release infrastructure, tooling and execution, test scheduling, reporting, and high-touch lab support for core components like Connectivity, Interactive, Firmware and Bases OS. By addressing these complex issues, we directly drive the velocity, stability, and uncompromising quality of the broader Android ecosystem for years to come.

- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
