Summary

TESS Search Partners is partnering with Chrysos Corporation, an Australian technology company delivering innovative minerals analysis solutions, to appoint a Software Engineer based in Adelaide. This is an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of Chrysos’ PhotonAssay™ systems, working across software that manages large data sets, user and engineering interfaces, system control and fault-finding, while also supporting the development of new products.
Reporting to the Software Development Team Leader, the Software Engineer will design, develop and maintain high-quality, clean and testable software supporting PhotonAssay™ systems and their underlying infrastructure. Working alongside software engineers, product specialists and scientists, the role will contribute to conceptual designs for new products, software testing and implementation, technical documentation, code reviews and quality assurance. The position will also provide practical support during product set-up, commissioning and ongoing operation.
The successful candidate will have at least three years of software engineering experience, including the design and implementation of complex technical applications, together with tertiary qualifications in software engineering or equivalent experience. Full-stack development experience is essential, alongside strong knowledge of Git, DevOps CI/CD, Agile practices, Linux and Docker, with demonstrated experience writing and maintaining tests. Experience with PostgreSQL, Python, Django, VueJS, Golang and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure will be highly regarded.
