Software Engineer
Work with a nimble engineering team to build and scale backend services, maintain developer SDKs in web3, and innovate on blockchain protocols, architecture, developer experience, and critical tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and innovate on open source SDKs and blockchain protocols
- Scale backend services and infrastructure that interface with the blockchain
- Collaborate with product and design teams to solve customer challenges, plan features, and iterate from lessons learned
- Communicate with customers to assist with integrating thirdweb into their applications or platforms
- Write documentation associated with developer-facing functions or APIs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience on a software development team for a product-focused web application
- Experience and interest in blockchain development
- Ability to take on complex, large-scale technical projects end-to-end in a team setting
- Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, or Node.js
- Experience scaling backend services and infrastructure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Curiosity and appetite for learning beyond direct expertise
- Self-starter capable of proposing and implementing solutions to ambiguous business problems
- Ability to make calculated tradeoffs for customer and business needs
- Bonus: experience with developer-first products, SDKs, API design, technical documentation, wallets, smart contracts, or EVM technologies
