Software Monitoring & DevOps Engineer (f/m/div.)

Your contribution to something big:

We are looking for a SW Monitoring/DevOps Engineer with strong experience in the implementation of user-facing monitoring systems and the creation of observability concepts. This role will be responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end monitoring solutions that address the needs of internal customers and business stakeholders.

  • Lead the implementation of user‑facing monitoring systems that provide real‑time visibility into application health, performance, and reliability across digital platforms;
  • Define and develop observability concepts, including metrics strategies, logging standards, dashboards, and alerting principles aligned with business and internal customer needs;
  • Architect end‑to‑end monitoring solutions tailored to diverse internal stakeholders, ensuring scalability, robustness, and long‑term maintainability;
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to instrument applications and services, enabling high‑quality telemetry and actionable insights;
  • Support microservice‑based and event‑driven architectures with strong observability practices, including distributed tracing and event monitoring;
  • Contribute hands‑on to development tasks (Java, Python, or similar languages) when required for instrumentation, integration, or proof‑of‑concept activities.

What distinguishes you:

Education

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar technical roles;
  • Proven experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent;
  • Experience working with microservice‑based and event‑driven architectures.

Know‑how

  • Strong understanding of metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting concepts;
  • Experience developing in Java, Python, or other enterprise‑level programming languages;
  • Ability to translate business and stakeholder needs into scalable monitoring architectures.

  • Very good English skills;
