Software Quality Assurance (Bank)
Summary
QA engineer for a bank, building and maintaining Selenium-based automated tests, running regression suites, and collaborating with dev/ops to triage defects. Also expected to leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot and apply prompt-engineering practices in the testing workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test code using Selenium-based testing framework
- Contribute to the test automation chapter, sharing knowledge and best practices across the department
- Perform non-regression testing on upcoming application releases to ensure quality and stability
- Collaborate with development and operations teams for efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution
- Monitor and execute scheduled test jobs (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Maintain and improve existing testing workflows, processes, and frameworks
- Prepare test reports and documentation for stakeholders
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Test Engineer , preferably in banking or financial services environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub, Copilot) to enhance productivity and problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals including prompt engineering, model limitations, and best practices for human-AI collaboration
- Experience in evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and alignment with business requirements
Ability to identify opportunities for AI integration and automation within existing workflows and processes
