An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Solution Architect - Integration to join a major enterprise technology transformation program.
This role will take ownership of the integration architecture across complex, business-critical systems, designing secure, scalable and reliable solutions that connect modern cloud platforms, SaaS solutions and legacy applications.
What you'll be doing
- Design AS-IS and TO-BE integration architectures across major technology projects.
- Design integration solutions using APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture and system integration patterns.
- Develop key architecture artefacts including SADs, ADRs, HLDs and LLDs.
- Provide expert advice across integration technology, data architecture, modelling and integration best practices.
- Translate functional and non-functional business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, Testers and other technical teams.
- Engage with external vendors and act as a lead technical representative on integration solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture, cyber security, privacy and operational requirements.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years' experience designing integration solutions and application architecture.
- 5+ years' experience with MuleSoft or an equivalent integration platform.
- Strong experience across iPaaS, API Gateways, ETL, ESB, REST and JSON.
- Extensive knowledge of integration patterns including synchronous/asynchronous messaging, event streaming, batch integration, point-to-point integration and data synchronisation.
- Strong experience designing API-led, messaging and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with IBM MQ, Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration Services or equivalent.
- Experience with Kafka, Confluent or similar event-streaming technologies.
- Experience working within CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.
- Exposure to large-scale programs valued at $10M+, with government experience highly regarded.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
Eligibility
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen with a current New Zealand passport. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check and Baseline National Security Clearance.
