Solutions Architect
The Solutions Architect will shape and deliver payment solutions, advise customers on infrastructure and application architecture, formulate technical strategy, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and support successful product and engagement delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and support WadzPay product architecture.
- Collaborate with department heads, architects, engineers, business development, product management, and other stakeholders.
- Formulate and communicate technical vision and strategy.
- Improve software using design patterns, refactoring, and development best practices.
- Create database queries and scripts for Oracle and SQL Server.
- Mentor development teams on design and coding practices.
- Participate in project planning and estimation.
- Prepare architectural documentation and execute design spikes.
- Evaluate third-party software products and create proofs of concept.
- Conduct code, design, and architectural reviews.
- Create technology comparison documents.
- Own technical engagements and support timely delivery.
- Share best-practice knowledge among solution architects.
- Understand market segments, customers, and industry verticals.
Requirements
- 14+ years of solution architecture implementation or consulting experience.
- Experience architecting product and infrastructure solutions across Linux/Unix, Windows, and mobile environments.
- Experience with Java, Microsoft technologies, Python, and unit testing frameworks.
- Experience architecting or deploying cloud and virtualization solutions for enterprise customers.
- Experience with coding, application development, and scripting.
- Knowledge of Java, C#, or Python.
- Knowledge or experience in big data and RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
- Experience in enterprise software or internet industries.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or IT.
- Experience with UML modeling and diagramming tools such as Enterprise Architect and MS Visio.
- Experience with REST, SOAP RPC, HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with distributed caching solutions and open-source libraries.
- Strong written, oral, presentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
