What you'll be doing...

This Sr. Experience Designer III role resides within Verizon Business Group on the Digital Experience Platforms Design Team. Our focus is on the Business customer and their experience across our digital and assisted sales and service journeys.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Move confidently from problem framing and concept development through delivery, bringing a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and the ability to create polished, intuitive experiences that feel simple, elegant, and easy to use

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and researchers—to understand user needs and business goals, and translate them into effective design solutions.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools, AI tools (Figma Make, Gemini, Claude, NotebookLM), and generative workflows.

  • Influence decisions through data, customer insights, product thinking, experimentation, and strong design rationale

  • Ability to own the quality bar for AI-assisted design work, ensuring high standards for craft and usability are maintained.

  • Craft and polish compelling narratives that highlight product opportunities and requirements.

  • Deliver seamless experience enhancements and optimize touch points across the customer lifecycle.

  • Cultivate a robust design culture through active leadership in critiques and design workshops.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience.

  • Four or more years of design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered product thinking, polished visual craft, and thoughtful interaction design for complex ecosystems.

  • Experience presenting and justifying design decisions to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated experience producing high-fidelity design deliverables that adhere to visual design principles and design system specifications.

  • Experience independently driving design processes from discovery through launch, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.

  • Experience guiding decision-making with structured thinking, clearly articulated rationale, and user-centered research.

  • Experience experimentation, metrics, or using data to inform design decisions.

  • Demonstrated experience designing shopping and commerce flows.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design.

  • Experience designing for growth, monetization, digital transformation, or omni-channel experiences.

  • Designing for B2B.

  • Portfolio is all professional work.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.

  • Great attention to detail and a strong eye for visual craft.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $107,000.00 - $205,000.00.

The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $117,500.00 - $205,000.00.
