Sr. Procurement Specialist (Full Time) (36821)
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Senior Procurement Specialist will work with Procurement Leadership to ensure that the procurement of goods/services required by the Agua Caliente Casinos is done so in a timely and efficient manner and per company policy. The Senior Procurement Specialist will be assigned buying responsibilities based on commodity, service type, and/or department. The Senior Procurement Specialists will liaison between the Procurement & Sourcing Manager, Procurement Supervisors and the Contract/Program Administrator to assist with implementation/execution of sourcing programs as well as driving compliance. The Senior Procurement Specialist must possess a strong understanding of sourcing and purchasing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Ensure that all purchases are facilitated in compliance with established procedures and/or per contractual agreements.
- Obtain competitive bids for goods and/or services for off contract purchases as defined by company/departmental policy.
- Issue and expedite purchase orders for goods and services needed for the Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage and the Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs.
- Determine vendor selection based on quality, service and price with a focus on delivering the greatest possible value for the company.
- Track supplier performance to include on time deliveries, fill rates, meeting product specifications and the suppliers ability to offer other value added alternatives.
- Assist internal customers with product specification development.
- In coordination with Procurement & Sourcing Manager and the Procurement Supervisors, Identify cost savings and process efficiency opportunities for the company.
- Provide timely and accurate communication to internal customers and company management.
- Perform other job related duties as needed.
