Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Managed Platform Services
Serve as a senior technical leader across infrastructure scale-out, performance and reliability, platform prototyping, customer-facing development, architectural migrations, cross-functional initiatives, AI-powered tooling, and engineering mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design automation for data center and server bring-up
- Investigate performance and reliability issues
- Establish platform-wide benchmarks
- Build prototypes for new platform capabilities
- Develop customer-facing platform functionality
- Evaluate architectural migrations
- Drive cross-functional infrastructure initiatives
- Build AI-powered tools and frameworks
- Coach senior engineers
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Significant experience at staff level or above
- Distributed systems at scale
- Sharding, replication, consensus, load balancing, and concurrency
- On-premises infrastructure
- Rapid prototyping
- AI tools
- Performance benchmarking and profiling
- Customer-facing on-call experience
- Product scoping
- Cross-functional technical influence
- Go or another modern compiled language
