Staff Platform Engineer, AI Systems
Design and implement a secure AI platform connecting agentic tools and runtimes to core services. Define authentication, authorization, tiered autonomy, verifiable state, revert mechanisms, and agentic workflows while balancing automation with human oversight.
Responsibilities
- Drive AI strategy and align teams around the vision
- Build a unified internal AI platform connecting agentic tools to core platforms
- Create IDE agents and develop secure agentic workflows
- Build an enterprise knowledge base for agentic reasoning
- Define tiered autonomy with verifiable state and revert mechanisms
- Design authentication, authorization, and human-in-the-loop safeguards
- Embed with teams to unblock workflows and promote AI-native practices
Requirements
- Full-stack systems experience with distributed cloud-native infrastructure
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, including Helm and ArgoCD
- Experience building and operating AI platforms and LLM tooling
- Experience with MCP, RAG, function-calling, and evaluation patterns
- Knowledge of zero-trust security, least-privilege access, and secrets management
- Strong communication, collaboration, influencing, and architectural decision-making skills
- Ability to operate autonomously, take ownership, and drive initiatives to completion
