Staff Software Engineer, Frontend
Lead technical direction for frontend engineering while contributing as an individual contributor. Build and maintain core user-facing features, design and improve frontend infrastructure, architect scalable systems, create reusable components with robust tests, prioritize performance and accessibility, raise code quality and developer experience, mentor engineers, and participate in product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the frontend team
- Lead architecture of scalable frontend systems
- Build and maintain user-facing frontend features
- Design and improve frontend infrastructure
- Create reusable components and maintain high code quality
- Write unit and integration tests
- Optimize performance and accessibility
- Mentor and train other engineers
- Participate in product decisions impacting user experience
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience writing production software
- Live between GMT-8 and GMT-5
- Advanced knowledge of React
- Advanced knowledge of TypeScript
- Public contributions to open source projects
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience with GraphQL
- Full-stack experience with Node.js
