Staff Software Engineer, Graphs

You'll drive technical direction and help build customer-facing web features, APIs, and services. You'll partner with product managers and designers and use your understanding of data platforms to deliver scalable customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, maintenance, and development of cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes.
• Deliver product features detecting market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterns, and related activities.
• Own and scale high-performance AWS services handling thousands of requests per second.
• Lead modernization toward streaming architecture and establish technical direction and best practices.
• Own the direction and enablement of the graphing platform across multiple products.
• Debug and resolve production issues across systems and services.
• Mentor and grow engineers while fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

Requirements

• Lead design and implementation of cloud-native services on AWS, GCP, or a comparable major cloud provider.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-team projects, and making senior-level technical decisions.
• Ability to align technical execution with product and design partners.
• Deep experience with object-oriented programming, especially Java and TypeScript.
• 10+ years working on complex backend and/or frontend systems, including leadership or lead engineer roles.
• Ownership of product ideas from inception through production.
• Understanding of frontend and backend best practices.
• Experience integrating AI into customer-facing products or engineering infrastructure.
