Staff Software Engineer (Product + Platform Development)

Build the core product and deliver production-ready AI-enabled applications and integrations directly to customers. The role combines software engineering, product development, customer delivery, architecture, deployment, and operational execution in secure and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, pain points, data environments, and operational constraints.
• Build reusable core-platform capabilities and customer-specific integrations.
• Build and deploy AI-enabled applications, agents, and workflow automation.
• Apply RAG, guardrails, and evaluations to customer solutions.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and implementation plans.
• Own delivery from prototype through production.
• Design architecture and build backend services, APIs, integrations, observability, testing, and deployment.
• Integrate customer systems, data sources, identity providers, and cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
• Partner with product, engineering, security, and customer teams.
• Debug deployed environments across application, infrastructure, data, and integration layers.
• Set technical direction and make architecture decisions.
• Write code, debug systems, and drive resolution across technical layers.
• Operate in environments involving sensitive data and business-critical workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and shipping production-quality systems.
• Ability to apply AI and machine learning techniques, including LLM approaches such as RAG, guardrails, and evaluations.
• Scalable system design experience.
• Experience with backend engineering, distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, or applied AI/ML systems.
• Full-stack development ability across backend, frontend, infrastructure, integrations, and deployment.
• Ability to turn unclear customer requirements into working software.
• Strong technical communication and debugging skills.
• Preferred experience as a full-stack, backend, forward-deployed, solutions, product, platform, or startup engineer.
• Preferred experience with AI agents, LLM applications, workflow orchestration, evaluations, guardrails, retrieval systems, or model deployment.
• Preferred AWS, Azure, or GCP experience.
• Preferred Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, observability, secure deployment, identity management, audit logging, data governance, compliance, security, or regulated-environment experience.
