Staff Software Engineer (Web Automation & Open Banking Infrastructure)

Architect and build a distributed client-side automation platform using browser extensions and mobile webviews, secure network interception, persistent WebSockets, authentication flows, and scalable data extraction systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the core automation runtime for resilient UI interactions and session routing.
• Design secure network interception layers to capture and parse financial data streams.
• Build communication protocols connecting client-side agents to a centralized backend.
• Develop automation solutions for MFA and Passkey authentication flows.
• Engineer around browser and mobile WebView security boundaries and lifecycles.
• Build resiliency and scalability for dynamic portals and application suspension states.
• Introduce engineering practices that support operating at scale.
• Mentor engineers and support technical excellence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on web automation, browser internals, extensions, or data extraction.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, DOM manipulation, web APIs, and browser execution environments.
• Strong backend experience with Golang, Node.js, or Python and WebSocket infrastructure.
• Strong security fundamentals involving trust boundaries, authentication, and DOM injection risks.
• Expertise with network architectures and single-page applications.
• Experience with distributed systems, persistent connections, and stateful multi-hop sessions.
• Ability to work independently through ambiguity and test clear hypotheses.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Production experience with Chrome MV3 extensions or iOS/Android WebViews.
• Understanding of WebAuthn and Passkey protocols.
• Experience with financial data aggregation or client-side data extraction tools.
• Understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, protocols, and crypto security.
