Strategic Finance Manager

Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, strategic financial planning, and finance team development while providing actionable insights to leadership and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes, including preparation of internal management and board reporting.
• Provide strategic recommendations to finance leadership and executive management based on rigorous financial analysis.
• Assess company performance against the annual budget and long-term strategy, making adjustments and recommendations.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to drive deeper understanding of business and financial performance.
• Coordinate with finance and business partner team members to review financial information and forecasts.
• Manage, coach, and develop finance team members to promote professional growth.
• Lead ad-hoc projects that drive organizational goals, bringing together cross-functional teams.
• Provide leadership to finance department team members, fostering independence and collaboration.
• Prepare succinct presentations for decision-makers, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in business finance, consulting, or related experience.
• Proven experience as a finance leader with a track record of leading a team.
• High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in financial management software such as NetSuite and spreadsheet-based planning and reporting tools.
• Effective partnership and influencing skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in rapidly changing conditions.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
