Strategic Finance Manager
You will drive the company's financial growth and efficiency through financial planning and control, rigorous analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic recommendations to finance leadership and executive management.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes, including internal management and board reporting.
- Provide strategic recommendations to finance leadership and executive management based on financial analysis.
- Assess company performance against annual budgets and long-term strategy, making adjustments and recommendations.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to deepen understanding of business and financial performance.
- Coordinate with finance and business partners to review financial information and forecasts.
- Manage, coach, and develop finance team members.
- Lead ad-hoc cross-functional projects supporting organizational goals.
- Foster independence and cross-organizational collaboration within the finance department.
- Prepare concise presentations that translate complex data into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business finance, consulting, or a related field.
- Experience as a finance leader with a record of leading teams to successful outcomes.
- High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets knowledge.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with financial management software such as NetSuite.
- Strong partnership and influencing skills across organizational levels.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
