Summary
Project Manager role for a construction consultancy in Singapore, coordinating building construction projects from day-to-day delivery through programme monitoring, stakeholder communication, and documentation. Core focus: construction project coordination, consultant/contractor management, and reporting.
This position is suited to experienced construction professionals who are confident in managing project coordination, programme monitoring, stakeholder communication and project delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day management and delivery of building construction projects.
- Monitor project programmes, milestones and overall progress against agreed plans.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors and relevant project stakeholders to resolve project matters.
- Review project submissions, technical documentation, drawings, samples and method statements.
- Follow up on authority submissions, approvals and project-related requirements.
- Organise and participate in project meetings, briefings and progress reviews.
- Monitor construction progress and identify potential delays or issues requiring attention.
- Support project cost monitoring and coordination with Quantity Surveying teams.
- Prepare project updates, reports and presentations for relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure project activities are properly coordinated and documented throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members and coordinate multiple parties effectively.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, Project Management or another relevant construction-related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in building construction or project management.
- Experience within a construction consultancy, contractor or related project environment.
- Strong understanding of construction project coordination and delivery.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and project interfaces.
- Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and contract procedures will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong team player with good stakeholder management skills.
