Salary: AUD 800 - 1000 per day

Our client is a leading Australian telecommunications and technology provider with a national footprint, renowned for delivering some of the country’s most trusted network and technology experiences. This is a rare opportunity to work within their enterprise security function.
About the role
You’ll join a managed Security Operations Centre engagement, delivering cyber defence services across incident response, threat detection, phishing triage and security monitoring. Working within a co-sourced SOC, you’ll partner with customer stakeholders and internal security teams to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Monitor, triage & respond to security incidents
- Investigate & remediate phishing threats
- Conduct threat hunting & security monitoring
- Tune detection rules & improve processes
- Report findings & recommendations to stakeholders
Skills & experience
- SOC, Cyber Defence or Incident Response experience
- Skilled in SIEM, SOAR, EDR & threat intel tools
- Strong incident response & threat detection know-how
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Security+, CySA+ or SC-200 highly regarded
