Technical Manager – Stone Subcontracting
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A technically strong and commercially aware professional who can convert design intent into buildable, cost-effective, and high-quality stone solutions, while also contributing to accurate project pricing and profitable execution. ROLE OVERVIEW The Technical Manager will manage the full technical cycle of projects—from design review, estimation and pricing support, shop drawings, cutting list, variations, to final handover. The role ensures all works are technically correct, buildable, cost-efficient, and compliant with project specifications, while coordinating with contractor and operation department of his company. A key part of the role is also to support tendering and project pricing by preparing accurate technical take-offs, cost inputs, and value engineering solutions to ensure competitive and profitable project execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead all technical and engineering activities for stone projects * Review drawings, specifications, and ensure constructability * Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and technical inputs for project pricing and tendering * Support estimation team in developing accurate project cost breakdowns and BOQ validation * Analyze design requirements to identify cost risks, savings opportunities, and value engineering options * Manage shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation * Oversee material submittals and technical approvals * Prepare and review installation method statements * Provide technical support to site and factory teams * Coordinate with consultants, architects, and main contractors * Resolve RFIs and technical site issues * Ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements * Support continuous cost optimization during design, procurement, and execution stages INDUSTRY Stone Contracting / Marble / Granite / Façade Works
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Structural Engineering * 8–12+ years of experience in stone, marble, granite, or façade subcontracting * Strong experience in shop drawings, fabrication, and installation engineering * Proven experience in project estimation, BOQ analysis, or technical pricing support * Good understanding of construction costing and value engineering * GCC experience preferred (Saudi experience is an advantage) * Strong AutoCAD and technical coordination skills * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects
