Technical Production Manager

About the Role

This is not a traditional Production Manager position.

You will become the technical owner of every project once the concept has been developed.

Working alongside our Event Managers and Head of Design, you will ensure that every creative idea can actually be built safely, accurately, efficiently and within budget.

You will challenge assumptions, identify technical risks before they become problems and maintain the highest standards of production quality from concept to dismantling.

Your Responsibilities

Technical Design Review

· Review all production drawings, AutoCAD files and construction details.

· Validate dimensions, structures and installation methods.

· Ensure production drawings are technically accurate before fabrication.

· Identify design risks early and propose practical solutions.

· Work closely with designers to optimize fabrication without compromising creativity.

Production Planning

· Prepare detailed production plans.

· Review construction methodologies.

· Coordinate fabrication schedules.

· Validate material specifications.

· Review technical requirements with vendors.

· Ensure every production element can be delivered within project timelines.

Bridge Between Design & Events

You will become the primary technical liaison between:

· Design

· Event Management

· Vendors

· Production teams

· Venue technical departments

Your mission is to ensure every department works with exactly the same technical information.

Vendor Management

· Brief suppliers accurately.

· Review quotations from a technical perspective.

· Evaluate production quality.

· Supervise fabrication.

· Conduct factory visits where required.

· Build long-term relationships with trusted production partners.

Site Management

You will oversee installations from beginning to end.

Responsibilities include:

· Production scheduling

· Site coordination

· Contractor supervision

· Safety compliance

· Quality control

· Problem solving

· Technical decision making

· Final inspection before client and over

You will remain on site throughout critical installation periods to ensure Visionnaire's standards are consistently achieved.

Quality Assurance

Every project delivered by Visionnaire should meet the same production standards.

You will therefore:

· Verify fabrication quality.

· Ensure consistency with approved renderings.

· Validate measurements.

· Inspect finishes.

· Ensure structural integrity.

· Ensure compliance with venue regulations.

· Maintain high standards of workmanship.

Health & Safety

You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are delivered safely and professionally.

Including:

· Risk assessments

· Installation methodology

· Structural verification

· Venue compliance

· Safe working practices

· Contractor safety

· Emergency planning

Continuous Improvement

You will help improve the agency by:

· Developing technical standards.

· Creating installation checklists.

· Building production SOPs.

· Standardizing technical documentation.

· Improving coordination between departments.

· Helping build "The One Visionnaire Way."

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

· Minimum 5 years' experience in live events, exhibitions or experiential marketing.

· Strong technical production knowledge.

· Excellent understanding of temporary structures.

· Experience reading AutoCAD drawings.

· Good understanding of fabrication methods.

· Knowledge of AV integration.

· Excellent site management experience.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Ability to remain calm under pressure.

· Excellent communication skills.

· High attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience within luxury events would be a strong advantage.

Software Knowledge

Preferred experience with:

· AutoCAD

· SketchUp

· Microsoft Project (or equivalent)

· Microsoft Office

· Basic understanding of 3D visualization workflows
