Technical Project Manager – AI, HPC & Data Platforms

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager – AI, HPC & Data Platforms to lead and coordinate a portfolio of medium- to large-scale technology initiatives across AI/ML platforms, high-performance computing, data management, software engineering, and platform delivery. The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, and act as a key interface between technical teams, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and executive leadership. The role requires strong project ownership, structured delivery management, effective stakeholder communication, and enough technical understanding to follow architecture discussions, dependencies, engineering risks, and delivery challenges without being a hands-on engineer. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Project Management, or a related field. • 2–3+ years of experience in technical project management, technology delivery, project coordination, or a similar role. • Proven experience managing or coordinating software, platform, data, infrastructure, AI/ML, or enterprise technology projects. • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern technology delivery practices. • Practical experience working with Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery models. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously. • Strong project planning, documentation, reporting, risk management, and organizational skills. • Experience working directly with software engineers, technical leads, architects, or other technical teams. • Ability to understand technical discussions, identify delivery implications, and translate technical updates into clear stakeholder communication. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Professional fluency in English. • Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, specifically Khobar, Dhahran, or Dammam. Preferred Qualifications • Previous exposure to AI/ML platforms, HPC environments, enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale technical systems. • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, data engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, AI/ML, or HPC. • Understanding of data management concepts, data workflows, and enterprise data platforms. • Experience managing projects with complex technical dependencies and multiple engineering teams. • Experience preparing executive dashboards, steering committee materials, governance reports, and management presentations. • Experience working in enterprise, digital transformation, research, engineering, or technology-driven environments. • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile, ITIL, cloud, data, or other relevant technical/project management certifications are a plus. • Saudi nationals are preferred. The ideal candidate is a structured, proactive, and highly organized technical project manager who can operate effectively at the intersection of technology, delivery, and stakeholder management. They should be comfortable managing several technical workstreams simultaneously, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, challenging unclear timelines or dependencies, and escalating risks before they affect delivery. The candidate does not need to be a hands-on software, AI, or HPC engineer, but should be technically conversant enough to understand engineering discussions, follow system and project dependencies, ask the right questions, identify delivery risks, and communicate effectively with engineers, SMEs, and leadership. Success in this role requires someone who can maintain both the detailed operational view of project execution and the high-level view required for executive communication and decision-making.
