Group / Division: Life Sciences Group (LSG) / Proteomics Sciences (PSX)
Location: Seoul / Remote
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Proteomic Sciences (PSX) business growth in Korea by identifying, developing, and converting new sales opportunities across academic, government, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research customers.
Provide technical and scientific expertise throughout the sales cycle, including customer needs assessment, solution positioning, technical presentations, workflow consultation, and support for complex opportunities.
Develop and execute market development strategies to expand adoption of proteomics technologies and accelerate penetration into new customers, applications, and emerging market segments.
Build and manage a strong sales opportunity pipeline, working closely with commercial teams to improve opportunity qualification, conversion, and achievement of revenue targets.
Drive multi-omics business development through close collaboration with PSX, Genetic Sciences Division (GSD), and Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD), identifying cross-divisional opportunities and developing integrated customer solutions.
Establish strong relationships with key customers, researchers, KOLs, and strategic accounts, positioning Thermo Fisher Scientific as a trusted scientific partner across proteomics, genomics, clinical research, and bioinformatics workflows.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree plus 5 years of technical sales experience in relevant scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or life sciences industry
Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or related discipline
Deep technical knowledge of assigned product portfolio and applications
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and customer requirements
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
Travel requirements of 50-75% within assigned territory
Valid driver's license and ability to lift/move equipment as needed
Proficiency in English required, additional languages valued for international roles
Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape
Experience delivering technical demonstrations and training
