Key responsibilities in your new role
- Proofread and edit machine-translated technical documents from English to Chinese to meet quality standards.
- Ensure translations accurately reflect the original content's meaning, format, and tone, and correct terminology is consistently used.
- Create, update, and manage glossary terms to ensure consistent terminology and adherence to established quality standards.
- Organize and manage translation files and records.
- Prepare translated files for publishing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Postgraduate student is preferred.
- Major in English translation, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in translations.
- Ability to leverage AI technologies for translation tasks and contribute to the development of translation automation tools is an advantage.
- Experience in glossary management or desktop publishing is a plus.
- Fast learner, self-motivated, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skill.
- At least 3 days a week; candidate who can work for 6 months is preferred. Remote work policy also applies.
