TQA Consulting is seeking a Test Analyst for a 6-month full-time contract in Darwin, NT. Candidates must be based in Darwin or willing to relocate and have lived in Australia for the past 5 years.

About The Role
The Test Analyst will support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives by coordinating testing activities throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring solutions are ready for implementation.
The role will work across multiple projects and technology environments, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to support quality outcomes, manage testing activities, and provide clear visibility of testing progress and results.
Essential Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, together with ISTQB Foundation Certification or an equivalent testing qualification.
Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst within medium to large ICT projects, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and quality assurance principles.
Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and performing functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Experience using test and defect management tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect investigation skills, including experience identifying, investigating, and managing defects.
Experience validating data and working with SQL or similar database technologies.
Ability to prepare clear and concise testing documentation and reports.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience working within government or highly regulated environments.
Experience working on projects involving complex integrations or multi-system environments.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
Exposure to test automation tools and non-functional testing activities.
